Founder & Teacher
As founder of Freedom School Online, Tyree Boyd-Pates is an experienced African American Studies professor, museum curator, historian, public speaker, and consultant whose career focuses on instruction and mobilization of communities through Black history, political education, and activism.
As a frequent lecturer nationwide to USC, UCLA, Spelman, and Morehouse, Tyree's work in and out of the classroom has been widely recognized and featured in Time Magazine, The New York Times, Vogue, The Atlantic, Hollywood Reporter, Fast Company, The LA Times, CNN, and NPR.
